Stay tuned

Comin’ Back

I’ve mostly let the blog die. I don’t cook exciting things, I rent so no fun home projects, no babies and my phone camera sucks. I was at a loss for what to blog about. I think I may have found something. I will need a little help though. I will need a vastly larger pool of internet resources from newspapers/magazines with online editions to fun blogs or niche sites. So please help if you can, no worries if you can’t. What are your favorite sites to read?

it feels so good

Wedding Planning is Stressful. This everyone knows.

What doesn’t get talked about is the RELIEF. When you finally find a vendor you actually like, when you finally stop freaking out about how expensive everything is, when you sign a contract and send it off. I feel drunk with relief that there is one less thing I have to decide on, negotiate and wake up at 3 AM thinking about.

Date: check.

Venue: check.

Dress: check.

Food/Bev: check.

Photographer: check.

Flowers: check.

Rentals/Decorations: CHHHHECKKKK!!!!!!! (checked like a toothless hockey player)

For the record…

I loved the President’s spilled milk joke in the State of the Union address last night. He’s just a dad making dad jokes like the rest of them.

I keep trying but I feel like I’m failing at keeping in touch with people and seeing my friends. Sorry friends.

I don’t like peas, don’t vote for me.

Mitt Romney Unfit for Presidency Because He Speaks French [Video]” ~ Jezebel.

I didn’t even watch this video but the headline reminded me of a thought I had this morning. The presidential race, be it the general election or the primary, is just really a competition for the moronic vote. The person in any or no party who really has no idea why they are voting at all or what actually matters to them or how government can truly affect their lives. “This guy speaks french or once fired some people or once was in the same group with a guy who did something crazy 35 years ago.” People please, figure out why you are voting and then figure out who’s record and ideas match yours the most, that’s how to vote.

Let there be cloth

I need to talk out things that are bothering/stressing/exciting me in order to wrap my head around them.

I think I might be a kinesthetic learner.

I think I’ve finally made a solid wedding decorating plan it only took: months of looking at the same pictures, meeting with two designers, talking it to death with my mom, having a late night chat with Marcus, Marcus standing on the bed and a good night’s sleep. Sigh, it feels good.

Things occupying the brain:

1) How the Art of Fielding is going to end, I’m about 60 pages out.

2) Wedding decorations: how, what and why?

3) My iced tea addiction, meaning my now headache from not having iced tea at lunch.

4) How I don’t feel my life is interesting enough to blog about, even though I read equally interesting people’s blogs and find them entertaining.
